About · Sean Milavec

I help contractors stop losing jobs they should be winning.

Ten years inside a $2B contracting enterprise. Grew up around a two-truck service company. This isn't an agency — it's me, sitting inside your operation, finding what's broken, fixing it.

The path here

Two trucks. Then $2B. Then back again.

The short version of how I ended up doing this work — and where the pattern came from.

Early years
A two-truck service co.

Grew up around small construction work.

Watched good work get held back by paper invoices, missed callbacks, and a back office nobody was really running.

10+ years
Inside a $2B contractor

Learned how big contractors actually run.

Every lead logged, every follow-up owned, every job traceable. Pipeline visible to more than just the boss.

The turning point
A 30-year waterproofing co.

Brought big-company structure to a small shop.

Lead tracking, follow-up cadence, Google presence, pricing. Same trucks, same crew — a front office that finally kept up.

The pattern
Same problems, every size

Two trucks or two hundred — the failures rhyme.

Leads not followed up. No pipeline visibility. Everything running through the owner. Small shops just feel it faster.

Today
Milavec Advisory

4–6 contractors at a time. Hands-on. Local.

I sit inside the operation and fix what's leaking — so leads don't get lost, follow-up doesn't fall through, and the owner stops chasing everything.

To be clear

What you're hiring — and what you're not.

What I am
An operator who fixes the plumbing.
  • Inside your CRM, your inbox, your call logs — finding what's leaking
  • One human, one phone number, one Slack thread
  • Boring, durable systems your team can run after I leave
  • Direct, in-person, Southeast-Michigan-local
  • Paid to make myself unnecessary on a clear timeline
What I'm not
An agency, a vendor, or a software pitch.
  • Not a marketing agency selling ad spend or “leads”
  • Not a software reseller — I don't take vendor kickbacks
  • Not a deck-and-strategy consultant; nothing lives in PowerPoint
  • Not a permanent retainer — engagements have an exit date
  • Not 50 clients deep — I take 4–6 at a time, on purpose
How I run an engagement

Three rules that keep the work honest.

None of these are clever. They're the ones that, when I've broken them in the past, the engagement got worse. So now they're the deal.

Rule 01
Sit inside the operation, not above it.

I'm in your CRM, on your calls, in the truck if I have to be. No findings deck written from a hotel room.

Rule 02
Fix one seam at a time.

Lead response. Then follow-up. Then reviews. Stacking fixes is how engagements turn into dependencies. I won't do that to you.

Rule 03
Build it so your team owns it.

If a system needs me to keep running, I built it wrong. Documented, handed off, owner identified — every time.

Most contractors don't need more leads. They need a better way to handle the ones they already have.

If that sounds like your shop, let's talk.

Thirty-minute fit call. No deck, no pitch. You tell me what's broken; I tell you whether I can fix it and what it'd take.
